When forming a deli platter for entertaining, some people forget the importance of the visual appeal. Having a beautifully designed deli platter not only enhances the experience but actually scientifically makes your brain think that the food tastes better. (Here’s a very interesting article on that here: http://www.independent.co.uk/news/science/food-really-does-taste-better-when-it-looks-good-scientists-claim-9551826.html) If you’re not the most creative person and need a little help in the “design” area of deli platters, having a collection of gorgeous serving platters can create all the visual appeal you need. Even having that one stunning go-to serving tray can save you from an entertaining emergency or unexpected company. I wanted to share some of my favorite serving trays that I have on my current wishlist to give my readers a couple ideas on what I think is a “statement serving tray.” I also tried to add in a lot of cheaper options along with the more expensive platters. If there is a serving tray that you think belongs on this list, don’t be afraid to leave a link in the comments below. Sharing is caring :)

1. Anthropologie Mimira Platter ($24)

Anthropolige is one of my favorite stores for home decor. I love the dusty pink swirl design of this serving platter. The painting technique almost reminds me of the petals of a rose. The gold trim detailing adds subtle glamour and that complements the pale pink shade of this platter.

2. VivaTerra Blue Agate Serving Plate ($75)

This serving platter is simply stunning. It has such a chic and rustic feel and is made from genuine raw Brazilian stone.

3. Tracy Porter Magpie Chip & Dip Tray ($79)

I am a huge fan of mixing colors and prints and this chip dip tray has done it perfectly! The flower dip bowl is so creative and something that is so beautiful and unexpected. Not only can you use this to serve chips, but I can definitely see this tray as something that you can use to serve crackers and veggies along with any dip or sauce in the middle compartment.

4. Celadon Ceramic 'Turquoise Vanda' Serving Plate ($24)

I love how this floral serving platter has a tropical yet rustic look. It's at a really great price too. This aqua shade is also one of my favorite colors.

5. Tabarka Design Oval Platter Set ($52)

I am a lover of bold patterns and prints, and this geometric design is beautiful. It is painted %100 by freehand and is definitely a statement piece.

6. Two-Tone Marble Boards ($20-$25)

Marble has been a huge trend this year in home decor, and I love the look of these platters! Very modern and simplistic.
